Call for Participation: 2nd International Conference on Mass Customization and Personalization in Central Europe (MCP-CE2006): How to bridge Mass Production and Mass Customization in Central European Countries?
24-26 May 2006, Rzeszow, Poland
I am pleased to forward the following invitation by the organizers of this European mass customization event: The MCP-CE2006 will be the second event to approach mass customization from a Central European perspective. Its special objective is to engage participants in the dialogue how to bridge mass customization and mass production in Central European Countries. The focus of the conference is business practice.
One of the key objectives of the event is to discuss the development from the perspective of SMEs, which embraces over 90% of all companies in Central Europe. This issue will be addressed by keynote lectures, who will propose innovative and efficient approaches towards implementation, based on a close cooperation between industry and higher education sectors. Speakers include:
Ralph Seelmann-Eggebert (Volkswagen Consulting) will outline the MCP concept in the automotive industry and the need for integration.
Alexander Tsigkas (Leonardo Group, Democritean University of Thrace) will lead a discussion about the factories in the post-industrial era. Alexander will argue that in this new world the former East Europe, can play a very important role in leading the needed transformation into a pluralist post-industrial era.
Zoran Anisic (University of Novi Sad, Polytechnic Engineering School in Subotica) will show his recent advancements in MCP cost-effective implementation for small and medium enterprises.
Frank Piller (TUM / MIT) will discuss the state of implementation of the MCP concept, but also comment on connecting and future business models.
The conference program will include many more academic and business presentations from researchers and practitioners coming from the USA, UK, Germany, Poland, Ukraine, Norway, Balkan Region, Greece and other countries.
